ok i decided to write an entry. was late for keith class today. sucks. rainy day. haha

interesting start to the day though.

i decided to take a cab cos its raining and i am running late. so went bus stop. wanted to flag a cab down. but hesistated when i saw a girl in front of me.

Me: you taking a cab?
She: erm no no, you go first.

which is weird considering i reached later than her.

but the cab ran away due to our hesistancy. in the end, after 5 mins passed, she asked me where i was going, i replied tp, then she suggested to share cab.

lol. first time take cab with stranger sia.

interesting. even though i was still late for the class =_="

nvm la. haha. at least it feels good to be thanked. cos she had an exam and was running late.

New Block, Old Style


saturday slack a bit, tml chiong all the way. almost everyone around me are having their hols (poly ppl) , and jc ppl (a lvls , good luck) .. i am still stuck in TDS. yeah. i calculated. no hols. ok, 4 day break is coming up. and tat is like 2 months later. after the 4 days break, a new semester starts.

received a rough gauge for my p2 results. overall get a c. sian. yeah its kind of discouraging, even though the lecturers said tat more than half showed good work, so they had to raise the bar to get an a. however, i know that i put in a lot more effort in p2 than p1, so i think its alright ba. i am really happy with the exterior, and i din concentrate too much on the interiors, yeah tats the problem.

P1 - no focus at all, p1b concentrate more on interiors
P2 - focused on exterior, neglect interior.

p3 - ?


haha. this block taking material studies and application and retail design. quite good.

afterall, keith is the best lecturer in the whole of design school i think, and rachna is quite good for interiors. however, their work load is of course heavy.

but fun la, so far i got to do precedent studies on Expo, Expo Mrt, Odeon towers MOD living, and visited 2 showflats. damn nice la.

thinking of visiting Republicpoly soon, which is designed by DP architects.

aaaaaaaaaaa. dunno wat to type already. ok, i just now bought everton to win totterham tonight. 5 bucks only. haha no money. if i win i win 27.50! . lets hope. haha

OVER

YES. its finally over. i am so fricking tired. i dun even know wat i am typing now basically. this week i had average 4 hours of sleep. yesterday had 3 hours. today morning was the end of pcomd. its finally over. lucinda said we had the best presentation =). i was rather glad at our group's performance too. hope we get an A to match our efforts.

P2b was rather disappointing to me. i did so many things wrong.
model could have been better, perspectives shd have been better, layout could have been better, floorplans could have been better. but i guessed its really taking its toll on me. imagine, after this weekend break, when i would make use to catch up for my loss of sleep, and also to print my layouts, monday i would have presentation again, tuesday is the start of a whole new block. after that block, i would go into electives block. and after that, =_= , i hate to say this.

a new sem starts. essentially, it means no holidays for me.

haha.

Deflated

for the first time in iad, i got thrown in the face. someone just came up and throw it in.

though there are people i respect, such as jian huang, syafiq. there are also people i don't.

and when the people whom i don't can just deflate my ego just within 30 minutes, i seriously dunno wat to say.

i worry for my own future. i feel that i lack too many skills to make it out in the industry.

my photoshop skills are substandard.

my autocad skills are limited to that of modify and draw tools.

my handdrawn rendering and perspectives are less than expectations.

my model making skills still suck.

sigh.

yeah i know my blog layout sucks. but just too lazy to change one, and miss nur huda wouldn help me .

i had a good read over at someone's blog, shes a good writer and a budding photographer. yeah.

a good writer does not just make you want to read, a good writer makes you feel what she is writing.

i do hope to achieve that someday. right now, i am reminded by my days in thailand. man.

Batch Gathering

oops i forgot to post about batch gathering.

i think i improved my communication skills. =) i managed to compliment someone out of honest opinion. haha

and the food is heaven. i think its one of the best bbq food i have eaten before. the bbq with jeromy and aaron was perhaps the best. we prepared and marinated our own pork meat, and also alchoholic hashbrowns! LOL .

The Last Lap

Its been almost 2 months, and p2b doesn seem to have an end. we have been told that next friday is the final submission, followed by presentation on next monday, and portfolio review on the following monday.

which means p2 would have lasted for a total of two and a half months. =)

I am quite happy with myself over p2b. i really worked for it, and i can say that i have managed my time pretty well, especially with sociology and pcomd on my mind too.

Sociology is over. finally. left the quizzes and one last lesson. shall do the quizzes this weekend. i dunno why i am not able to present properly that time in the LT, i guess its due to first time presenting in such a big place. i don cite the lack of preparation for it though, since i am used to presentations already, from red cross till now. lol

but i think it went ok in the Q and A. yeah

Great start in PcomD, thats what lecturer told us. FINALLY, writing minutes in red cross IS beneficial. lol.

We had a great start, so don't let it slip away. i guessed that i am the group leader again for this project. well i am used to it already. haha.

Now, in the next 9 days. its gonna be me against p2b.

i rewarded myself with one day of rest. and after that i am gonna stay focussed on the path ahead.

I am not going to let everything slip away from me again. after all, this is the project that would be my main stuff in the portfolio.

Important people who have influenced my life

While i am waiting for the tv advertisement to finish, i shall blog about stuff. yeah. p2b and pcomd is straining me out, not to say sociology too. well. i must remain strong, and complete my tasks not only fulfillingly and also with my best effort.

but. i have been thinking abt this topic in relation to post.

i have been thinking about the people who came to my life and left my life.

the first important person that entered my life was perhaps when i was very young...


Jia Hao and Will cheong

These 2 guys, along with my brother and wc's brother, were my play mates ever since young. i still remember the times we shared, be it void deck soccer, play grounding, catching.. all the ridiculous kids stuff.... yeah. those were the times i was still in good terms with my brother..

several instances conflict happen.. yeah.. but isnt its strange, tat why our brain chose to remember the negative things and chuck out all the happy times?

i decided to forgo the negative things, and frantically recover my memories... the last time i saw jia hao was like 2 years back... sigh. and wil cheong.. maybe last year.. all brief meetings.. but i am sure, that within them, lay a special part for me too, cos they have a special place in my heart... especially for jia hao, would stood by me as a friend, even though my dad doesn like him. he has got a troubled life. divorce. and stuff... but. i will gladly welcome him as a very good friend.


Jin Hao

This guy. is my primary school competitor. and i always finished 2nd behind him all the times. haha. we went through primary 1 to primary 4 in the same class, before ending up in primary 6 with him too. he was my best friend in primary school. but somehow... tat competiveness got the better of me.. and in primary 6, all was wasted... after psle.... we suddenly cut off. yeah
though he was in the same secondary school as me... but. yeah. my inner nature prevented me from communicating.. but haha.

Mrs Chua

She was my tuition teacher from primary 3 to 6. i am sure for guys whom i told the story to, understand how fearsome is her punishing methods. yeah. but she helped me set up the foundations from the beginning. i consider her as the best teacher i ever had in my life.

These 2 teachers layed the deepest impact within me. they inspired and inspired me as always. even now. =)

Then, came to secondary school..

Leong Chuan

He is the first person that i clicked with in sec sch. sec 1e, sec 2e..

he was my best friend then. we used to talk on the phone every single night .. weird isnt it? haha cos the other party is a guy. rest assure he isnt gay. lol. but as usual my communicaion skills brought me down again. the moment we switched class. i failed to keep in contact.. and yeah. but he is one of the best guys i've known. thanks for inspiring me!

Wei shun

This guy, along with leong chuan, is my other good friend. he introduced me to my favourite sport, basketball and magic cards and lots of stuff. he has a very good attitude yet can be nasty too. hahaha. i enjoy being with him and lc .. he will always joke and talk with me everytime . hahaha. miss the times. next time i promise i will beat u in basketball. HAHA!

Soo Cheng

the first girl in the list, she is my worker =) i was very close to this girl in sec 1 2 and 3. we sent each other presents everytime. and i still keep her cards. she is perhaps the only girl i was close to, and yet our feelings for each other remained as friends. this proved tat men and women can be close friends as well ! alright, as i am typing this, i remembered some of the funny stuff she did. and of course, WHO SHE LIKED at tat time. (ps the person is in this list LOL)


Yee Long

After sec 2, i became so immersed in red cross. i found a new best friend in yee long. he is perhaps the longest best friend i ever had. he is the only one whom i still keep close contact with. he is one of the rare few (or perhaps the only one who can understand me) we share such a powerful relationship that even if we lied to each other, we would know it. yeah. haha

Hao Jie, Wing tai

Again my red cross friends, they are special to me, they are my buddies, like will cheong and jia hao. we still meet up at times, to play BURNOUT and WINNING ELEVEN . haha! i still remember the after school, 7 eleven sessions!

Yee Feng

This girl has had a special special place in my heart. those who know me, need not ask more. whatever it is, she is the only one whom i have chased for so long and still got rejected! haha. thinking of last time, i was really naive, and i wish her all the best with her bf =) keep in contact!


Basketball khakis (josh,desmond,dickson)

i always hang out with them (GAYCLUB!) during recess and play basketball! yeah they rock! and joshie is so HUGE! haha

Jeromy
This guy, taught me how to chase a girl. he even brought me to the best flower shop in singapore (ask me for the address and i might give =D ) , i remembered we chatted on phone together while we were bathing at respective houses! the convo was something like this
J : eh what you doing now?
Me : bathing
J: with the phone? i bathing too!
LOL. haha. this guy is also my basketball mentor. he taught me the values of being a man, and everything. thanks!

The ppl here really inspired me alot, especially jimmy, suhairi, rusydi (whom i still keep contacts with them) , chia, aaron (hes same course as me!) ... yeah!
