warcryyest had the final interim pin up..
of cos there are still problems on my stuff. the perspectives especially.. but now im more worried about the material board..
i have an impression on what my final prep board will look like..
its gonna be a massive a1 x a0 board..
but.. the problem lies in the middle. the material board.
if i can get my materials samples den wont be a problem.. pray man.
ya for those who don understand the above part, don worry u are not alone.. basically very technical stuff regarding my field of work.. so no worries
the time now is midnight.. saturday already..
including saturday, i have eleven, 11 days left to the final pin up and presentation. its gonna be the biggest presentation i will have done in my life.. gonna present to whole of design school's lecuters.. massive man.. not forgetting the peers that would watch me and also juniors.
so far, this project, i have been on the fast lane.. everything i do seems to get approved at the first level, leaving time for me to do work faster than the rest.
but being at such a high pace also means more pitfalls, you are the first to explore, first to make mistakes, first to get shoot.
this is part and parcel of the life im gonna lead come the future 80 years (hopefully lol.)
today consultation, derek commented alot on my perspectives and he explained to us alot of things.. i think hes really a good lecturer, being someone from the industry, hes strangely not too technical. he doesn give you the direct answer, but leads you to it..
right now, my progress. concept all these settled long ago.. drawings generally done... modelling done.. maybe need redo paper model. but maybe not..
derek says im on the presentation stage already.. means i can start preparing my final presentation stuff..
but den i disagree with him. cos there are alot of details i havent look into.. which was my biggest flaw and still is.
despite working details inside sip, i still cant visualise details very well...
today he enlightened us quite abit..
in this situation, we are not talking about construction details, not how materials and walls and roofs are constructed, but rather, the way they are assembled.
some may ask. wats the difference? construction in layman terms refer to the building and structures, which is just so technical..
what he wants, assembly and joints, is design details.. how the details are connected to the concept, the story... yes even the smallest screw can tell you a story..
its really a pity he has to go back to the industry after this teaching stint ends when this project ends.. i would really have loved it if he became my tutor for fyp.
my philosilphy for this project is simple.. do work in sch, chiong in sch, at home = purely relax..
but this weekend.. i need to get going.. maybe do up some details..
but right now lets think of the battleplan for the next 11 days.
somehow 11 is one of my favourite numbers wahhaha.
